It is the family law practice more stressful and frustrating for lawyers?
I am a new lawyer who has been practicing for about six months. I do all family law, and it seems that what I get for my clients are still not happy. They expect me to get all the things singular who do not want whatever irrational. All other family law attorneys of the experience? My clients are not paid. I work with Legal.
Medical Law, I family. Family law is a thankless job. Emotions are more family law than in any other law. families people are destroyed, they will not be able to see their children every day, their standard of living is falling, etc. All these things that make family law clients frappadingue. Seriously. They are angry, scared and confused, and because of this they often have trouble thinking clearly. They also have very unreasonable expectations. Desperate want to continue to stay at home (ha! That will not happen!) A woman who was married for two years wants a huge support. A father who travels all the time and not working is a parent wants to participate 50/50 physical custody. What customers do not understand is that their definition of "fair" is not necessarily how it works in the legal world. In addition, customers do not understand why the judicial system is so long. I customers constantly bitch at me because the other party has not responded to requests for discovery. They do not understand that anything I can do is to file a motion to compel, and that takes time. Customers not blame me when the first available hearing date within two months. Family law attorneys is constantly accused by its customers to things that are completely out of control. Customers are angry about the process or the reality of divorce, and more convenient scapegoat for your divorce lawyer. All that being said, I love the practice of family law. Many lawyers do not get anywhere near a family law case. Therefore, it only takes a certain personality. You must be able to perform their work without any reaction positive clients. You listen to complaints and even blame and accuse you, then let it out of his back and chalk to all the emotions going on. I do so, so I am able to enjoy my work. I like hearing people's stories. There are always new and crazy things happening in people's lives, I never boring. It's a job abroad to sort all aspects of personal family life – finances, sex life, health, etc., I find that very interesting, what I like to work.
